266th Post Jesus Said on The Kingdom of God Con't. - Luke 13: 24 - 30 Con't.

The Master gets up and closes the door, people start to gather out side asking to be let in, and they are sent away being told the Master does not know them. What is Jesus telling the people here? Jesus was telling the people, that just because Jesus taught in your town, that does not save you. We have people attending our churches, believing that they will go to heaven, because they have perfect attendance in church. They like these people in Jesus story will find themselves outside the door. To be a Christian means you are trying to live a life like Christ, this requires doing and not just hearing only. The people in the towns where Jesus taught, heard His message, saw His miracles, but continued to live their live their lives as they had done before. Part of being a Christian is correcting the worldly parts of your life, and put on the Godly parts. When you do this you do not stay the same. The passage goes on to say that you will watch Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the Prophets come in and take their seats, and people from the four corners of the world will come and take the seats, the people who heard but did not do seats. To make matters worse, Jesus tells them to go where there is darkness and gnashing of teeth. This will mean total separation from God. This is our choice today. Where will you weigh in??

265th Post Jesus Said On The Kingdom of God Con't. - Luke 13: 24 - 30

Luke 13: 24 - 30; Matthew 7:
Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, "Lord, Lord, open for us," and He will answer and say to you, "I do not know you, where are you from." then you will begin to say, "We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets." But He will say, "I tell you I do not know you, where are you from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity." There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.
This was spoken by Jesus about 1.1/2 years into His earthly ministry. This made a hard teaching of Jesus even harder. I have already blogged on the Wide and Narrow gate (260th Post), so I will look at the new part of this passage. It starts with the Sentence beginning with When... I see I have run out of space for this post, so will continue next post.

264th Post Jesus Said on The Kingdom of Heaven Con't. - Luke 9: 26

Luke 9: 26; Mark 8: 38
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels.
This was spoken by Jesus about 1.1/2 to two years into His earthly ministry. The religious leaders are starting to speak out against Jesus, and try to interrupt His teaching time. Jesus again tells His followers, that they must be bold in their defense of Jesus and He will be bold on their account when we get to Heaven. For if they shy away or are not bold, but ashamed, then He will treat them the same way in Heaven. This is quite a tough passage for us today. Many people say they are Christians, but when you start to talk about what they should believe in if they truly are Christians, they tell you you are too tough, or they call you things like too critical, or say my Jesus is not like that. If there was only one, how can we have different Jesus'? And still be following the same One?? Something has to be wrong here. We can not both be right! We have this problem, and we have not yet even ventured in to the hostile world of the unbeliever's. It was the same in Jesus' time. Many said they were followers, but could not provide enough evidence to convict them. If you were put in the same place, would they find enough evidence to convict you of being a Christian?? Which Jesus are you following? This blog has been looking at His words from the beginning of this blog, do they sound familiar? Only you and God know your heart.

263rd Post Jesus Said on Kingdom of God Con't. -Matthew 16: 24 - 26.

Matthew 16: 24 - 26; Mark 8: 34 - 37; Luke 9: 23 - 25.
If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
This was spoken by Jesus about two years into His earthly ministry. Those of you who have taken Masterlife, should be familiar with part of this text already. Then Jesus goes on to say that whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will find it. What does this mean? When you start to put into practice the Words of Jesus, by becoming more Christ-like (Christian). You stop living for yourself alone, and start living the way Jesus would like you to live. At this point, you have to make a decision, are you going to live for Jesus? Or are you going to stay in the world? If you choose to stay with the world, you will lose your life, because you did not accept Christ's atonement for you. You will gain whatever the world has planned for you, and at death, you will be separated from God. Or you can live for God, lose the gifts of this world, but gain everlasting life when you die. The choice is yours. Only you can make this decision.

262nd Post Jesus Said on the Kingdom of God Con't. - Matthew 10:32 -3 3

Matthew 10: 32 - 33; Luke 12: 8 - 9. "Confess Me before men, and I will confess you before My Father."
Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
This was spoken by Jesus soon after he sent the 12 disciples out by themselves to witness on their own, they were to go out two by two.
This was 1.1/2 to two years into His earthly ministry. Jesus has been telling his disciples that the world hates Him, and will hate them also because they are teaching about Him. This is still a test for all people who witness for Jesus Christ, even today. The world still hates Jesus and everyone who follows Him. This can be a stumbling block for people trying to witness to unbeliever's today. The fear of ridicule by others can be quite intimidating. I believe this is the passage that the early Church Martyrs thought of when their accusers asked them if they wanted to recant their earlier beliefs and say that Jesus "Is not the Son of God". These people refused to change their story, even with the threat of death. If you doubt your faith, or think Jesus is not Who He Said He Was, you should look at a copy of "The New Foxe's Book of Martyrs" by John Foxe. It is a chronicle of how the early martyrs died for standing up for Jesus. They would not have done this for a lie. The people listed really lived and died, just like Jesus really lived and died. The Word of God is just that "THE WORD OF GOD"!!!

261st Post Jesus Said on Kingdom of God Con't. - Matthew 7:21 - 23.

Matthew 7: 21 - 23; Luke 6: 46, 13: 24.
Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?" And I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"
This was spoken by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount about 1.1/2 years into His earthly ministry.
This passage scares me also. These people were able to cast out demons, do many wonders and even prophesied in Jesus name and they were told to depart. I have not been able to do any of these things. They were told to depart because they knew the will of the Father, but did not do it. I am trying to do the will of the Father. Jesus told us to be doers and not just hearers of His Word.
The people in this story were able to do great things because they performed them in Jesus' Name! His name is powerful! But they were not committed to Jesus. This could be the way the "Anti-christ" will fool us when he comes. I hope not, because this will fool lots of people. We as believer's do not know the Word of God good enough, to be able to know when someone is misquoting it! Satan is just sneaky enough to use this fact to his advantage. You will not be one of these, if you get connected to God and stay connected. How do we do that? Read John chapter 15 and do what it says, and you will become a doer as well as a hearer of God's Word and will do His Will!!

260th Post Jesus onThe Kingdom of God Con't. -Matthew 7: 13 - 14

Matthew 7: 13 - 14; Luke 13: 14. Broad and Narrow Gates.
Enter by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
This was spoken by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus was about 1.1/2 years into His earthly ministry. Everyone who is comfortable being a Christian should read this passage, again. Jesus said the road that leads to life is narrow and the way is difficult and few find it. This does not sound like the way is smooth and easy to travel. In fact if you look at most of the ways, Jesus describes himself, and the Christian life, as being difficult, stumbling block, rejected. Why would anyone want to be part of this? The Promise is knowing God, and finding eternal life. God's Will is not our will, and we have to learn what His will is. Reading the Bible, and going to a grounded Church will help you understand God's Will for you. Being a Christian does not make you free from sickness, failure, and death. Being in God's Will, will help you weather these problems the world throws at all of us. When you have God with you, you look at the troubles, differently. You know, you are not alone, and you have someone you can talk to anytime, that never sleeps or takes a vacation. You can ask Him for strength and understanding, try asking one of your friends for these things. You will find that walking with God, is not easy, but your ability to handle things will make things easier, and your attitude will change, you will Discover the Joy of walking with God.

259th Post Jesus On the Kingdom of God - New Topic My Comments

Kingdom of God, was a topic Jesus talked a lot on. When Jesus talked about this Kingdom of God, you need to pay close attention to the context of His words, because He talked about the Kingdom of God as being in Heaven, your heart, and the world. This might be why you have had trouble understanding the Bible passages in the past. He was talking about Heaven when Jesus was describing His Father's House. When you start to believe in God, the Kingdom of God starts to live in your heart; because you are trying to live as God wants instead of as the world wants. The Kingdom of God starts to be part of the world as believer's start to live as God wants instead of like the world wants. We as believer's, are called to do more than be just hearers, we are called to be doers of His Will as well. When we are successful, then the kingdom of God lives on earth. When you look at how many people confess to be Christians, the world should be looking more like the Kingdom of God. However, putting God's Words into action, is easier said than done. Look at divorce, and all kinds of abuse, the world's numbers should be higher in the world than in Church. The truth is there is no difference between Church and world. This shows a large disconnect with knowing what the Bible teaches and what Christians do. Christians are called by Jesus to be salt and light, we are called to be strong and courageous, and hold to Jesus teachings and practice them.

258th Post Jesus On Warning on Signs Con't. - John 20: 29

John 20: 29
Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.
This was spoken by Jesus after He rose from the dead. Thomas was not present when Jesus appeared to the disciples Easter Night in the Upper Room behind locked doors and windows. When the Disciples told Thomas about their encounter with the Risen Christ, Thomas said "Unless, I put my finger in the imprints of His hands, and feet, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe."
Thomas gets a lot of grief, over this. Three weeks earlier, it was Thomas that said "We should go back to Jerusalem and die with Jesus", when He was going to raise Lazarus from the dead. Thomas will be forever known as the doubter for not believing that Jesus did in fact rise from the dead. Crucifixion was one of the worst ways to die. The Romans used this as a deterrent to keep people from acting out against their rule. If you read the account in Luke of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, you read that the angels had to minister to Him before the arrest happened, Jesus was near death already and still had to endure all the events of Friday. Pilot was surprised when they came to claim Jesus body, Pilot couldn't believe Jesus was dead already. We tend to try to put God into a box, by saying Jesus was too dead to be able to rise. God is God, and with Him All Things are possible. Unbelief is always easier than Belief. I know that My Redeemer Lives!! Now and Forever!

257th Post Jesus Warning Against Signs Con't. - John 4: 48

John 4: 48
Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.
This was spoken by Jesus very early in His earthly ministry. He had stopped in Samaria with the woman at the well and had just come back to Galilee from Jerusalem. He has just been asked by a Capernaum official to heal his son. The healing of this man's son was the second sign Jesus had performed in Galilee. As we saw from our posts yesterday that were at the close of Jesus earthly ministry; people kept asking for signs and wonders in order to believe. The fact they kept asking for more proof showed that they still did not believe. You have it better than they did who lived at the time Jesus walked the earth. Written accounts were non existent, and they had to rely on their memories and verbal accounts to remember things. Plus you have the ability to go back and forth in the Gospels and literally go back and forth in time, like we did today from yesterday's post. If you have been following this study from the first post, you also should know more about Jesus then you did at the start of this study. Do you believe, yet? Still not sure? What will it take for you to believe? These are questions only you can answer. Jesus wants a personal relationship with you, and this can start the moment you ask Him into your heart. If you want to make this decision, go and talk with your Pastor, and they will help you. Jesus loves you!

256th Post Jesus Warning Against Signs Con't. - Matthew 24:24 con't.

Daniel did not call the little horn of the ruined Roman Empire, the Abomination that Causes Desolation, Jesus did in Matthew Chapter 24, and Jesus went further saying that when you see this standing in the Holy Place, let the reader of the prophet Daniel know and understand. Only Jesus and Daniel called the little horn this. And since Jesus was prophesying, this could not be the little horn of the Greek Domination period, but the other one. The Jews do not consider Daniel to be a prophet, but if you look for this book in your Bible, you will see it in the section of Major Prophets.
Back to the text at hand. These anti-christs will display power to do great things, and as the people of Jesus' time thought He got His power from Satan; during this time people will think this power comes from God, and will believe in him. The Bible is God's Word, and this is our only way to be able to see the truth. As we learned when Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness, the Devil knows the Bible also but can not quote it correctly, this is how you will be able to expose him. However, you need to know the Bible well enough to be able to know when the passages are misspoken. God can not lie, and Satan can not tell the truth, this is how you will be able to expose him. This will not be an easy thing to do. Be ready and walk humbly with your God and you will not be fooled.

255th Post Jesus Warning Against Signs Con't. - Matthew 24: 24

Matthew 24: 24 From Jesus Olivet Discourse from the Mount of Olives.
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
This was spoken by Jesus at the end of His earthly ministry. This is one of those passages that give me trouble in believing in the pre-trib rapture. If the pre-trib rapture happens, we will be caught in the air before the anti-christ can appear. If this proves to be true, then who are these elect, Jesus is talking about that will witness this?? Unfortunately chapter 24 of Matthew is full of these types of quotes from Jesus, that cause me to study and meditate on. You could make the case for every generation since Jesus left this world until He comes back have had to deal with some form of anti-christ. The Abomination that causes Desolation, was spoken by Daniel twice. Daniel calls him the little horn, there was one that Daniel talked about that arrived on the earth during the period between Malachi and Matthew around 160 B.C. and was from the Greek Domination period of the world. Daniel talked about another little horn that would come out of the ruined Roman Empire, according to Daniel we are in the period of iron and clay feet of the statue mentioned in chapter 2 of Daniel. The feet have ten toes, these toes are to be the modern kingdoms of the ruined Roman Empire, the anti-christ will come from this area. It will not be from an existing rule like the little horn Daniel talked about in the Greek era. I have run out of room again will continue next post.

254th Post Jesus Warning Against Signs Con't. - Matthew 16: 2 -4 Con't.

Jesus called this generation wicked and adulterous because they were not living the way God had instructed them. Wicked, because they were living in the world, and not for God. Adulterous, because they were following other gods and trying to follow the One True God also. We can make the same statements about our own generation. More and more of us are believing that all roads due in fact lead to heaven. This is not true! All roads lead to the Cross!! At some point, you will have to Face Jesus, you will have to do business with Him, and depending what happens there decides where you will end up. Jesus Himself said "Wide is the road that leads to destruction, and narrow is the path that leads to Heaven, and few find it." This seems to tell a different story altogether. Jesus when He mentions Jonah again, He is telling them again about His up coming death. Jesus will be three days in the ground, and then He will rise. We will get into how how Jesus changed the cross from a cursed thing to a powerful symbol of His divine Power; when this study looks at Jesus suffering and death, and why that had to happen. And who actually Killed Jesus! The answer may surprise you. You will just have to wait until I blog on that, later. I hope these blogs on signs have helped you to understand what was and is a stake here, and how important it is to be able to decipher the signs of the times.

253rd Post Jesus Warning Against Signs Con't. - Matthew 16: 2 -4;

Matthew 16: 2-4; Mark 8:12; Luke 11:29, 12: 54-56.
When it is evening you say, "It will be fair weather, for the sky is red"; and in the morning, "It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening". Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
This passage was spoken by Jesus 1.1/2 to two years into His earthly ministry. This passage seems to continue where the last passage left off. What Jesus was telling the people is this, because most of you make your living off the land, you have been able to predict the weather. And yet you have no clue about religious things and your Spiritual Health. God raised prophets to warn the people that they were sinning and of the consequences of their sin. The people being human, killed the bearers of bad news and continued to live as they had in the past. They did not listen to the signs and correct their situation. They ignored the Spiritual Warning. They probably ignored the physical weather warnings at first, and paid the price inflicted by nature. It is like what I said in the last blog, they watch the sun rise and the seasons change, but never ponder who allows these things to happen according to these rules? God created the heavens and the earth and all that they hold. God is the Master designer, and everything is going by His design. Yet we as humans keep trying to fool ourselves into thinking that God does not exist.
I have run out of space again and will tie this in with the prophet Jonah on next post.

252nd Post Jesus on Warning Against Signs Con't. - Matthew 12: 39 - 42 Con't.

Jesus by talking about Jonah and the great fish was prophecing about His upcoming death. Jesus had been preaching and teaching for 1.1/2 to two years already; they had seen Him perform miracles and heard the wisdom of His teaching. But they kept asking Jesus for signs to prove who He was. If you read the account of Jonah the people believed his message without seeing Jonah being in the great fish. The people of Ninevah believed the words Jonah had spoken. Then there is the queen of the south, she also heard about Solomon's great wisdom, and wanted to witness it first hand. The Queen of Sheba, had to travel to Solomon to see his wisdom in action. She made the effort to come and check Solomon out. Both of these groups came to belief based on what they heard, they did not need proof of authenticity, in order to believe. This is why they will judge this generation. It has been over 2,000 years since Jesus spoke these words, and yet people are still asking for Jesus to prove Himself. Where do you weigh in on this? Do you believe?? Or are you still skeptical?? This blog is a list of what He said and taught. If you are not regular reader of this blog, feel free to go and see other postings, posted earlier, there are 252 of them. Still not sure Jesus is the Son of God? That's ok, we will be looking at His suffering and Death in future blogs, maybe these will help you make a decision.

251st Post Jesus On Warning Against Signs Con't. - Matthew 12: 39 - 42

Matthew 12: 39 - 42; Luke 11: 29 - 31
An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the Prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Ninevah will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. The queen of the South will rise up in judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here.
This was spoken by Jesus about 1.1/2 to two years into His earthly ministry. To unlock this passage you need to be familiar with the story of Jonah (story found in book of Jonah, of the Old Testament.) and the Queen of the South is a reference to the Queen of Sheba. (Story found in 1 Kings Chapter 10.) Why did Jesus pick these two stories to condemn this generation? At the time of Jesus, Jews felt that the book of Jonah was a myth. No proof of a city that was so huge it took Jonah 3 days to travel from one end of it to the other had been found. No proof of a palace that had 1,000 rooms had been found, and then there is the story of this great fish that swallowed Jonah, and Jonah lived inside this fish for three days and nights. Then Jesus talks about the queen of the south and that she would condemn this generation for their unbelief. Solomon, the Jews remembered, but this Jesus being greater than Solomon! This was hard for them to believe. I have introduced the people involved with this passage, but see that I am running out of space, so I will have to finish this topic in the next blog.

250th Post Jesus Said about Warning Against Signs - New Topic My Opening Comments.

Warning Against Signs, plagued Jesus during His ministry, and is still a large problem with people today. At the time Jesus walked the earth, people kept asking Him for signs to prove that He was Who He said He was. This has not changed, people are still asking for proof that God exists. They watch the sun rise and set everyday, they watch rain and large acts of nature attack the earth; but do not give God credit for doing or allowing these things to occur. Insurance companies used to call these things that occur in nature, "Acts of God". This statement has been changed to mother nature. In history, we used to use B.C. Before Christ and A.D. Anno Domini, in the year of our Lord; these have been changed to B.C.E Before Common Era, and C.E. Common Era. This has been man's attempt to try to get God out of history. Common era means the time of Jews, Moslem's and Christians. When you are Christian you look at history as His Story. If you look for God in History you will find Him. Men will say they changed B.C. to B.C.E. and A.D. to C.E. to be more politically correct and treat all people the same. However, when you try to do this you are in fact changing history. Contrary to popular belief, Mohamed did not come into being until 570's A.D. So to try to link him with being around at Christ's birth will not wash. Most people think that A.D. meant after death of Christ, this could not be right, because we would lose 33 years Jesus was on the earth. This is just one of the signs man is changing in order to discredit God. Like it or not God is Large and in Charge, and Still on His Throne!

249th Post Jesus Said on Evil Spirits Con't. - Mark 9: 29

Mark 9: 29 The Father appeals to Jesus for help after Jesus' disciples could not cast it out.
This kind [of spirit] can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.
This was spoken by Jesus about 1.1/2 to 2 years into His earthly ministry. To unlock this passage, you need to go back to the beginning of this account Mark 9:14 -29. On the surface, it looks like the failure by the disciples was their fault alone, but upon further study of the passage, you discover that the father of the son also did not believe the disciples could heal his son. This is a very important point for those who are seeking out people to heal them. You have to believe that this person is indeed working in conjunction with the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit does in fact work through them. Unbelief has been the biggest stumbling block to all humans. This can affect believers and non-believers alike. In order for God to answer prayer, you have to believe that God will answer this prayer. The same concept here. The disciples have to believe that God will answer their prayer before they attempt to heal people. Jesus pointed out to the disciples, that this particular spirit needed more than belief alone, it needed prayer and fasting also. The disciples did not add fasting to their prayer life until after Jesus died and rose from the dead. How do we know this? The disciples of John the Baptist asked this very question to Jesus, and He said, "As long as they have the bridegroom, they have no need of fasting, but they will fast after He goes away." I hope this has been helpful to you.

248th Post Jesus on Evil Spirits Con't. - Matthew 12: 43 - 45 Con't.

The evil spirit finding the man's heart empty, he goes and finds seven other spirits worse than himself, and they enter the man. The man's situation is much worse now, then it was at first. All because he did not act on the good fortune of having God casting the evil spirit out of him in the first place. This was spoken over 2,000 years ago, but it is still relevant today. Hearing God's Word is not enough, we are called to put His Words into practice. Many people flocked to see and hear Jesus when He talked, but never thought to do anything about the words he spoke. To them it was a form of entertainment, or an escape from the rest of the world. People attend Churches today and do the same thing. They listen to the message and go home feeling good, but do nothing to try to live the way preacher laid out. If this convicts you, God is telling you to start to put into practice what the preachers and teachers are telling you. You will end up in a worse place by not doing God's will. Jesus whole teaching was based on cleaning up your own life first, and then go out and minister to others. When you live in this way, the evil spirit that came out of you, will not be able to re-enter again. Before you knew God, you were full of evil, this is because we are born with a sinful nature. Don't believe me?? Which parent taught the child to misbehave?? The child learns this on their own, they are not always taught. God gave us free choice, we just seem more inclined to pick that which is evil over that which is good. This is why we need God's Word to show us how to live.

247th Post Jesus Said on Evil Spirits Con't. - Matthew 12:43 - 45

Matthew 12: 43 - 45; Luke 11: 24 - 26. Spoken by Jesus about 2 years into His earthly ministry.
When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, "I will return to my house from which I came." And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it be with this wicked generation.
This passage has a lot to say, lets see if we can unlock it in parts. First an unclean spirit goes out of a man. This does not happen with out help from God. We will leave the man, and follow the spirit. The spirit seeks dry places seeking rest. What does this mean? Jesus says "He is the living Water." The dry places mean in the absence of God. Finding no one to enter, the spirit says he will go back to the man he was drawn out of. Now we will pick up the man again; the spirit finds the man's heart empty, swept, and put in order. This means that the man did nothing to improve his situation after the evil spirit was cast out. God did something good for him and he did not try to follow God; if he had, the spirit would not have been able to enter again. I am running out of space again, so to be continued next blog.

246th Post Jesus Said on Evil Spirits New Subject - My Comments

Jesus taught about the fact that the Devil and Evil Spirits do exist. If Satan did not exist, then Jesus would not have to die on the cross. Satan caused Eve to eat of the fruit, and she in turn gave it to Adam to eat. God held Adam as more responsible because God told Adam directly, and Adam was supposed to advise Eve. The Devil is the supreme evil, and his follower's are the evil spirits. These spirits can cause us as Christians to stumble and fall. They do this by coming to us as good spirits. How then, can we know the difference? This is a good question. We as believer's need to remember that God can not lie or contradict Himself. The Bible is God's Truth for us to read and learn. The Apostle Paul told us on various occasions to test the spirits, before believing them. This is our problem, we are to test them to discover who they are before we listen to them. Jesus told us we are to wise as serpents and gentle as doves. Evil spirits and the devil can not tell the truth, this is how you can expose them. God is stronger than the devil, this is why God will win in the end. Why does it seem that the devil is in charge of the world? This is probably the hardest thing for us humans to understand. Why doesn't God take back what is His? God will, He is delaying, because He wants as many people to come back to Him, as possible, before He passes judgment. When judgment starts, grace ends. Please do business with Jesus before this happens.

245th Post Jesus Said on the Holy Spirit Con't. - John 6: 63

John 6: 63
It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
These words were spoken by Jesus after He fed the 5,000 and walked on water. These words were spoken right after he told the multitude that they would have to eat His body and Drink His Blood, in order to be a part of Him. Jesus would later establish this on Maundy Thursday, the Sacrament of Communion. This was not a good day for Jesus, He was talking about Spiritual things and the crowd was hearing the message in physical terms. The Jews knew that eating and drinking ones' flesh was an abomination against God. At least twice in Jewish history some of the people had done this, due to sieges against their strong hold cities, there was no food and they were trying to stay alive. These were dark times when they did this. Jesus lost a lot of His supporters that day, He turned to His disciples and asked if they would leave Him also? Peter answered "Lord where shall we go?" If you look at the passage above carefully, Jesus is clearly talking to them about Spiritual things. In the time of the Apostles, you will learn more about the Holy Spirit. Holy Communion is now one of the Church's most sacred Sacraments. It strengthens us.

244th Post Jesus Said on the Holy Spirit Con't. - John 16: 7

John 16: 7 Maundy Thursday Night in the Upper Room with His disciples.
Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
This was spoken by Jesus just before He went to Gethsemane to be arrested by the crowd. The disciples could not understand what Jesus was telling them. Jesus had been always there, and always stood up to the opposition for them. Now He is telling them, He has to leave, but He will send a Helper to come to them. Who is this Helper, and what could He do, that would raise our advantage? From the disciples point of view, this was a lose, lose situation. How could they be better off? We, as we are reading this account, may feel the same way. How could Jesus' going away, make things better? After Jesus died, He was true to His Word and sent the Helper (Holy Spirit) to come, and He still comes to all believer's. Jesus, when He was on earth, was stopped by his physical body. When Jesus sent His disciples away to do things they were on their own, until they could come back into Jesus' presence. Jesus could pray for them, but He could not help more than that. Since the Helper is spirit, He can indwell in us and strengthen us and give us courage. As a Spirit, He can go with all of us, even if we go in different directions, at the same time. It really was to our advantage that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us.

243rd Post Jesus Said on the Holy Spirit Con't. - Matthew 12: 31 - 32.

Continued from last post. The Unforgivable Sin Continued.
Why would Jesus say "Sins against Me and the Father" will be forgiven, but sins against the "Holy Spirit" will not be forgiven. Is not the Holy Spirit part of God?? How can God forgive sins against the Father and Son, but not the Holy Spirit? This is what makes this passage hard to understand.
Understanding depends a lot on your understanding of the Trinity. There are three different branches of God, but only ONE GOD! Each branch has its own jobs and duties, they are responsible for. The Father is the Creator, the Son the Savior, and the Holy Spirit is responsible for the condition of people's hearts. It is the Holy Spirit, that turns your heart from unbelief to belief. Think of your heart as soil. When you were sinful, your heart was dry and hard. As the Holy Spirit started His work in you, He broke up your hard soil, fertilized the soil and added much needed water. Over time your heart went from hard to fertile. The sin Jesus is talking about here is that your heart is like concrete; nothing can change it. It takes a while to go from dry and hard to concrete. Once you have reached this point, you are beyond God's ability to save you. This is what the word Apostasy means. If you are afraid that you have committed this sin, YOU HAVE NOT! To commit this sin you must not care for God at all. End times, says there will be a rise of Apostasy even in the Church. This proves that it is going by His Book!

242nd Post Jesus Said on the Holy Spirit Con't. - Matthew 12: 31 - 32.

Matthew 12: 31 - 32; Mark 3: 28 - 29: Luke 12: 10. The Unpardonable Sin.
Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
Jesus spoke these words about 1.1/2 - 2 years into His earthly ministry. This passage is probably the most misunderstood passages Jesus spoke. To unlock this passage you must look at the context in which Jesus spoke these words. The religious leaders were accusing Jesus of casting out demons by the power of demons. Jesus never said He was using anything other than the Power of God. Here the religious leaders, are changing the meaning of His Words and deeds. They were saying that Jesus was working for Satan, instead of GOD! One of the attributes of God is that He Can Not Lie! On this truth alone, the religions that say Jesus and Satan are brothers is False! God can not do anything evil! Now lets look at the part of the passage that says words against Jesus or the Father will be forgiven but not those against the Holy Spirit. I need more space to explain this, but I have run out of room in this post.
