260th Post Jesus onThe Kingdom of God Con't. -Matthew 7: 13 - 14

Matthew 7: 13 - 14; Luke 13: 14. Broad and Narrow Gates.
Enter by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
This was spoken by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus was about 1.1/2 years into His earthly ministry. Everyone who is comfortable being a Christian should read this passage, again. Jesus said the road that leads to life is narrow and the way is difficult and few find it. This does not sound like the way is smooth and easy to travel. In fact if you look at most of the ways, Jesus describes himself, and the Christian life, as being difficult, stumbling block, rejected. Why would anyone want to be part of this? The Promise is knowing God, and finding eternal life. God's Will is not our will, and we have to learn what His will is. Reading the Bible, and going to a grounded Church will help you understand God's Will for you. Being a Christian does not make you free from sickness, failure, and death. Being in God's Will, will help you weather these problems the world throws at all of us. When you have God with you, you look at the troubles, differently. You know, you are not alone, and you have someone you can talk to anytime, that never sleeps or takes a vacation. You can ask Him for strength and understanding, try asking one of your friends for these things. You will find that walking with God, is not easy, but your ability to handle things will make things easier, and your attitude will change, you will Discover the Joy of walking with God.
