97th Post Jesus Said onDeeds Rewarded Con't. - Luke 14: 12 - 14

Luke 14: 12 - 14 When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.
This passage is a challenge for all Christians, when we have a dinner or supper party, you are to invite the sick, forgotten, less fortunate, to your party. Jesus asks us to do this to all who are not able to pay us back. This is to get us to set the precedence of paying it forward. When you are kind to those who cannot pay you back, you show them kindness, and when they see someone else they could touch in this way, they will remember the kindness and pass it along. When this is done, you are sharing the Kingdom of Heaven with people on earth. As we continue to study the words of Jesus, you will start to see Jesus teach on the Kingdom of Heaven. Part of the problem we have in understanding Jesus words is that when He used the phrase Kingdom of Heaven, He could be talking about Heaven, or here on earth or in our hearts. We need to pay attention to which Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus was talking about. The end of this passage has a promise, when you do this you will be rewarded at the resurrection of the just. This only mentions one group resurrection. I see I am at the end of this post so I will continue next post.
