284th Post Jesus Said on Promises to His Followers - New Section Comment

We have just finished talking about the Kingdom of God. I hope that these blogs have given you something to think about, and maybe even taught you something more about the Kingdom of God. We are going to focus on the Promises Jesus made to His followers. Like the people in the Old Testament, God gave them solid promises that they could count on. And like the people of the Old Testament, we sometimes doubt, whether these promises will ever come true or not. This shows that we are just like Adam, we can become weak, and doubt at any moment. Promises are God's way of giving us hope. It is interesting that we should be starting this new section looking forward to Palm Sunday and the Passion of Jesus Christ. Jesus death and resurrection is the greatest Promise and Fulfillment there is. With this, Jesus gave us proof, that His Words have power, and if He makes a Promise, you can count on it. Who else can you say that about?? When you start to doubt Jesus, remember that He Rose from the Dead!!! That is quite something! This is just one of the many promises Jesus made to His followers, and we will be looking into them one by one in the coming blogs of this section.
