John 8: 43 - 47.
Why do you not understand my speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell you the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.
Jesus spoke these words to the Pharisees about 1.1/2 to 2 years into His earthly ministry. This is Jesus' strongest rebuke of the Pharisees yet. Remember Jesus started off telling them that they could not be of Abraham's descendants, because they do not believe God, while Abraham did. Then Jesus said that because you do not follow father Abraham, you have to be following their other father Satan. He is the murderer that Jesus was talking about and the father of lies. God and Satan can not be equal. God can only tell the truth, and Satan can only lie. The truth is stronger than any lie, so there is no equality. Good will always win out in the end. Whose your father??
