462nd Post Jesus Predictions Con't. - Predictions Concerning the End of the Age Con't. - Matthew 24: 29 - 31 Con't.

Matthew 24: 29 - 31; Mark 13: 24 - 27; Luke 21: 25 - 28, continued.
In the last post I was tying Jesus telling the people living in Jerusalem to be prepared for flight before the tribulation comes, with the carcass and the eagles will gather.  The fact that this prophecy was not completely fulfilled, leaves the door open for another tribulation to come again.  This coming tribulation, will be worse than the tribulation Jerusalem lived through when the Romans destroyed the City of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D.  What did Jesus mean by "where the carcass is there the eagles will gather"?  I believe Jesus was talking about the period between the destruction of Jerusalem and this up coming tribulation.  If you look at history when the "little horn" of the 3rd Kingdom tried to destroy the Jews and God, the Maccabees came to the rescue.  When the Romans sacked Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple, no one rose up rescue Jerusalem.  In this passage Jerusalem is the carcass the eagles are gathering around.  And the eagles are the nations bent on destroying not only Jerusalem, but Their God as well.  God made a covenant with Abraham, saying that no matter what Abraham or his offspring did, God would keep His part of this covenant.  The history of Israel since the Romans, and especially since She became a Nation are proof that God keeps His Word.
