497th Post Jesus Predictions Con't. - Various Other Predictions Con't. - John 21: 18.

John 21: 18
Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.
This was spoken by Jesus after He had risen from the dead, and appeared to the disciples by the Sea of Galilee (Tiberias).  Jesus had just asked Peter three times if "he loved Him."  Jesus tells Peter that when he gets old, he will be led to a place where he (Peter) doesn't want to go.  This was a prophecy of Peter's martyrdom.  Most people when given bad news like this will take time to reflect on the news, but not Peter!  He immediately asks Jesus about the fate of another disciple.  Jesus replies, "If I decide to keep him alive until I come again, what is that to you??"  That disciple was John.
